Unexpected pregnancies are common nowadays, according to the U.S Department of health & human services, there were nearly 250,000 babies born in 2014 and there is 77 percent among these pregnancies were unplanned. Being pregnant in a very young age has a lot of negative impact to the life of a young mother. Especially when it comes to her Physical, psychological, emotional and social aspects. This study will serve as a reminders to all of the teenagers that being pregnant in a very young age can have a negative effects not only in their bodies but also in their lives. Swierzewski (2000) stated that “Teenage mothers are more likely to drop out of school. Only about one third of teen mothers obtain a high school diploma.” This study also draws attention to the consequences of teenage pregnancies especially to their health. Women that become pregnant in their teens have a high risk of medical complications, such as premature labor.
