This study is significant to Omani legal practice in emphasising the need to provide factors of trust and confidence and job stability for the public employee, regardless of degree or rank in the career ladder in the state administration from the beginning of his appointment and until the end of its relationship to the state.
Additionally, and importantly, as Omani law is derived from or based on UK law in most texts, and that in Oman there is a major weakness and major lack of practice, many issues are still brought before the King as the law does not currently cover a number of issues. This research will be directly applied therefore to the current practice in Oman and try to lead the Omani legislator to the best legal practices in the UK in protecting employee’s rights. My findings will in due course be taken into account by Omani legislators and my recommendations can be adopted to improve practice, with employees directly experiencing these improvements
