It started in the year of 1517 Martin Luther (Germany) with the 95 Thesis a publication he wrote it was a belief that a controversy was brewing in the Catholic Church was abusing its’ might or power over their followers. It also spread to Switzerland (Ulrich Zwingli) and French (John Calvin) which focus on needed change and tried to stop on how the system worked. They also believed that the clergy didn’t meet the needs of the congregation’s or population, for example, they didn’t speak in the local’s tongue or lived an assigned diocese. The main reasons that the Catholic Church undermined the legitimacy of the Church by printing the Bible in Latin and the local languages so the people couldn’t verify that the doctrines were true/correct. Tickets of forgiveness were also sold to wash away their sinful behavior which gave the strong indication that the wealthy could purchase their way to heaven and the poor can’t. Most of the priests didn’t know too much about Christianity and told the congregation false doctrines that weren’t in the bible to lead them astray. Martin Luther was considered a heretic because of his refusal to repent on his criticizing the Catholic Church practices. After his dispute with Johann Eck a German theologian in Leipzig, Germany. Rumors were circled that Rome was making a document that condemns Luther’s reformation was considered heresy. Martin Luther wasn’t sure that decree was true so he decided to launch an early statement was called Against the Bull of the Antichrist. Condemning the person who wrote the document was indeed the Antichrist and challenged other theologians and Eck to prove that he was a heretic. Also, Martin Luther considered that the Roman Catholic Church was Babylon because of its’ abuses of authority towards the people. In 1520 Pope Leo stated that all Luther’s work was to be burned in public display and excommunicated also label a heretic. The three founding doctrines of the Lutheranism was “justification by faith alone,” “sola scriptura,” and the “priesthood of all believers.”
The first doctrine is “Justification by faith alone” was the abundant truth of GOD that appeared to be right by Martin Luther to help change the Christians in the church. Christians who stand before the LORD in righteousness will be justified by faith alone. The righteous ones who believe are those GOD accepts, because they seeking GOD diligently. These were the abundant divine and spiritual breakthrough that Martin Luther to overcome. The second doctrine is “sola scriptura” which means the “Bible alone” which is the intended highest practiced word of GOD to whole the church together. During the Reformation, “sola scriptura” was used by the Catholics to capture their ideas to the reformers to confirm the Bible. The abundance of Scripture prepares the disciples to be protected and endure for the final redemption this was showed by the gospel of John. Anyone who can read the scripture for themselves and determine the clarity straightforward approach to deliverance. The third doctrine is “priesthood of all believers” where everybody can have straight contact to GOD without the church intervention for each single person accountability to comforting the members who believed. In the Bible (1Peter. 2:5) King James Version (KJV): “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” New Living Translation (NLT): “And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple.” These doctrines challenge the theological foundations of Catholicism and many church practices (like veneration of saints, etc.) to help them accomplishes a personal relationship with GOD, by applying them in their daily lives. The Catholic Church fought back and reform itself by the knowledge of the Protestantism. Numerous sophisticated Catholics needed transformation which motivated them to identify the mistakes inside the Avignon Papacy.
Henry VIII of England who broke from the Catholic Church not because he was a rabid Protestant, but because he wanted the Church to annul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon. The divorced (1533) was Castoff Assembly to Decree his Break with Rome then moved England Back toward Catholicism after (1538). Thomas Wolsey was Henry VIII’s noble prime minister an English churchman, statesman and a cardinal of the Catholic Church who demonstrates a leading part in English party-political life expectancy. Thomas Wolsey was important in all that, because of his was clever, active, and self-confident, and was friendly with Henry VIII. Thomas Cromwell was Henry VIII’s chief minister and the Islamic statesman who directed hundreds of cutting mass and demolished England’s spiritual creative tradition. He was an energetic believer of the Reformation, also a strict enemy of the Avignon Papacy. Thomas Cromwell convinced Henry VIII to give his fight in excess of cancelation hooked on a complete lawful pause from Rome. Thomas Cromwell leads the new Anglican Church in ways that bothered Henry by joint decision-making mastermind through the devious from France completely stressed the diffidence of the Anglican Church. Thomas Cromwell (and especially Edward VI years later) tried to strip churches of their images and otherwise intervene in longstanding local church practices. Because Henry VIII wanted the Ecclesiastical not to take care of the situation in order to make regulations. Thomas Cromwell plain an occasion to eliminate their power. Edward failed, Mary failed but Elizabeth I didn’t fail because of spiritual disbursement. Which, was a reply to the religious partitions in England throughout the controls of Henry VIII, Edward VI and Mary I. This reaction, defined “The Revolution of 1559”. The theology of Elizabeth’s church as largely Protestant or Catholic, which Elizabeth desired the Church to plea together as Catholics and Protestants, with the intention that the Catholicism deceptively gone as the individuals converted over to her establishing religious conviction. She counterfeits a peaceful religious settlement that exists to this today, which is the “Peace of Augsburg” as a result of that the Catholics was able to keep their protest largely peaceful.
