After the completion of Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz and Situational Leaders Quiz it became clearly evident that I possess a strong situational perspective.
Situational Leadership II developed by Kenneth H. Blanchard and his colleagues where they explain how to match a leadership style to the capabilities of group members on a given task. (Dubrin, 2016, p. 155)
This type of leadership style depends on the organisation’s atmosphere commitment and hard work of the sub-ordinated towards the organisation.
In order to reflect myself towards situational leadership style I see myself as making sure that the sub-ordinates are trained thoroughly before I can have higher expectations from them.
There have been some instances in my previous workplace where I adopted to this type of leadership style because this clearly matched and responded well in the needs of situation.
In other words it could be defined as adopting to the needs of an organisation’s environment.
